DEALING WITH THE ICE QUEEN

Dealing with the bosses as many of you already know, is a team effort, and as such is designed to take teamwork to bring them down. Working individually on these bosses tend to produce negative effects, not just for you but for all those who follow on after you. So we have a preferred strategy that we would urge everyone to adopt, who is or are about to take part in taking down the bosses.

When you first log in to take part in the take down of the Ice Queen, we recommend that you select Arsonist or Racketeer, NOT Bruiser.
As it goes, we need more Arsonists than we do Racketeers. A good ratio would be 2 Arsonists to every Racketeer, or thereabouts, so when you join, try to take note of how many of each we have in the mix already and make your choice then. This is shown next to the roles available for selection, as in the above example, you can see there are 8 Arsonists and 7 Racketeers. I would choose the Arsonist role here as there are already a good number of Racketeers.

The idea is to be able to give your fellow mafia members a boost as and when they need it, and they in turn would do the same for you when you request it.

Here, with her rage low, every hit you make will score the maximum you can score depending on your character strength, except when a buff is used in which case you score nothing on that hit.

With the rage in excess of 110, (226 in the example shown here), you can see that your score reduces, and will continue to reduce the higher the rage is pushed up.

BASIC STRAGTEGY

Try not to start an attack on the Ice Queen (or any other boss) on your own. Try to plan your assault by ensuring that you have at least a couple of others ready to join the attack with you, or just to be your backup to supply you with racks and rage buffs when you need them. So it makes sense to have a mixture of arsonists and racketeers, this way, you can support each other with all the buffs you need between you and maximise your efforts.

Generally, you would try to summon help BEFORE going in, by posting on your group wall that you are ready to attack the Ice Queen and need some help. Anyone online who is in a position to help should respond.

If like me you have other accounts, you could make sure that you log into the boss fight in different roles - ie. your main account as a Racketeer and the other as an Arsonist. You would be able to give yourself rage buffs when needed and also be able to help other members whether they need rage buffs or racks.

If you do go in alone mainly as a result of not finding anyone available to join you at the time and you see that the rage level is 110 or more and you have no rage buffs, then DON’T start an assault, it’s pretty pointless to do so, and makes the task for others much harder. Again, try to find someone to go in with you to back you up with buffs.

Obviously there is no problem with you starting an attack on a boss on your own, but you need to be aware of what you do. If you have buffs leftover from your previous activity, then you’re good to go until your rage buffs are used up.

When you have used your last rage buff, request another immediately if you intend to continue.

By this time, someone may now be available to provide you with the buff you need.  If not, you will still be able to continue your attacks, BUT you need to keep an eye on the rage meter. As soon as it reaches 110, you need to STOP, regardless of whether you still have stamina or not..

It's worth noting here that when you request a rage or rack buff, your request stays live for only 15 minutes, after which time you will need to click again to issue a new request.

Ensure that when you are ready to end your attacks that you leave her rage as low as you possible can, but never above 150, unless of course you have a buff which automatically kicks in as you already know, and that point would be the perfect place to leave as the rage would be zero.

Just try to remember, that even though your fatigue bar on the lower left is a personal meter and gauges your fatigue levels at any time during your attacks, it does not affect the rest of the group, just you. Once you reach or exceed your fatigue limit (around 15 - 20/100), the cost to you for every hit rises from 5 to 15 stamina.
The rage meter on the lower right is an indicator of the rage levels of the Ice queen, (or any other boss in this series), and affects the whole group. Exceed the limits here and the costs to the group in stamina and rage buffs is far higher!!

At times, a little patience might be needed here, people have lives and have other things to attend to and you may find on a number of occasions that there is no one around who can help you when you are ready to make an attack on a boss. Your options will have to be to wait and try again later when there may be more members online, or go in alone as mentioned in our strategy above, but paying attention to what you do while attacking. This is not an excuse to go in anyway to burn stamina because you need to level up.

This takes teamwork to provide the best results… :o)
